Cleveland Photo Fest

2019

The first annual Cleveland Photo Fest exhibitions are on display from September 1st through October 30th, 2019.

A citywide event, the CPF aims to strengthen the appreciation of photography as a major force in today’s visually driven culture.

Six photography exhibitions will open under Cleveland Photo Fest auspices. The CPF anticipates the initial participation of more than 30 galleries, art spaces, and organizations. The festival will feature gallery and art space exhibitions, photographer’s presentations, and community-oriented educational events.

September  | TRANSFORMATIONS| Dr. Unni Krishnan Pulikkal, Kerala, India Large black and white photographs of deteriorated negatives.

October  | Silver Platinum Gold|  Alternative processes from the 19th C. About 10 photographers from Cleveland, Toronto, Bismarck, Bethesda, Portland and Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates.

September | Cutting Edge Cleveland| 10 local photographers who work beyond the imagination; seven of whom have not shown outside of Cleveland.

October | Sell and Show Show| Open to the public on a first come 1st serve basis. We anticipate 30 tables, 12 have been sold. One from Toronto, One from Dayton. The rest from Cleveland.

August - September | Give Us Your Best Shot: Portrait exhibition. 30 local photographer’s best single portrait. Open submission.

September – October | UPHEAVAL: Richard Margolis’ Photographs from inside the 1970’s| Kent State, later that afternoon and other images of the time. Richard Margolis, documentarian.

August – September | Brush High School Photography Department | Group show

October | Beyond the Camera| Curated by a CPF team member, mostly millennial photographers, all local.
